Iqraa College of Medical and Technological Sciences was established in 2009 as the first accredited private community college in Ibb Governorate, under ministerial license No. (104) from the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training - the Executive Body of the Supreme Council of Community Colleges. It practices its activity with all responsibility and competence, believing that education, knowledge acquisition, and its application are the cornerstones of successive human civilizations. The first word that our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, received was in the form of a command, "Read," which is the most indicative that the matter is of such importance that it was made the first divine command that Muslims receive at all. This goal was the primary motive for establishing "Iqraa College" and its keenness to be a true embodiment of what we aspire to in distinguished education, combining the three poles of success: the modern curriculum, the renewed means, and the competent teacher capable of giving and dealing with everything new.
As we conclude our fifteenth year of establishment, we feel proud that our graduates are found in most cities and villages of the homeland and abroad, performing their duties with professional ethics and high skill. ✓ Accreditations
Iqraa College of Medical and Technological Sciences operates within the framework of approved regulations and laws governing the practice of community colleges. It has obtained licenses to operate in all open specializations, and a ministerial decree has been issued accepting graduates for registration in the civil service to compete for government jobs, as it is an accredited and recognized educational institution. The college is a member of the Federation of Yemeni Community Colleges and has received praise from the ministerial bodies supervising it, as well as from many academic and community figures. The college was crowned among the top 22 community establishments in the Republic for the year 2024. The college strives to continuously ensure the quality of education and that students obtain a certificate and a profession – a certificate recognized locally and internationally, which provides the college graduates with wide opportunities for employment. There are more than 1,000 graduates practicing the profession with competence and ability, and some of them have obtained licenses to practice the profession outside Yemen, in some neighboring countries.
